Notice to Importers
Please note that containers are provided to you on the basis set out below and thereafter the container must be returned immediately to the ship’s agent.
Please note containers are the property of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC Geneva) and that time is of the essence in relation to the return of empty containers. A total of three (3) free calendar days including day of availability (day one) is allowed for reefers and a total of seven (7) free calendar days including day of availability (day one) is allowed for dry/ special equipment. The empty container must be returned clean and undamaged to the empty container park as specified on the Delivery Order. After the expiry of free time, detention charges as set out below will apply. Failure to pay the invoiced detention charge may result in legal proceedings.
Please refer to the new import detention rates below which will become effective from the 15th October 2004. Containers that have been imported prior this day will continue to incur import detention at the old tariff.
