Notice to Exporter from all ports Australia / New Zealand
MSC wishes to advise all that export containers will be subject to the new detention rate charges shown below if not returned to the designated location within the "free time" of nine (9) calendar days after pick up of the empty container. The "free time" commences when the container(s) is delivered from the empty container park. The total period for detention assessment will cease when the container has been presented for shipment or returned to the empty container park. The charges below are for each day or part thereof until the container is returned.
The new export detention rates below will become effective from 6th June 2005. Containers that have been released and remain outstanding before the set date will continue to incur export detention at the old tariff.
