| "My wife and I recently embarked on a 14
day MSC back-to-back fly/cruise with "MSC Rhapsody" 1-8 June 2002 and "MSC
Melody" 9-16 June 2002.
Having traveled on several cruises in the past, we
consider MSC Cruises are exceptional value for the money.
From the moment we boarded the ship and the steward
escorted us to our cabin, the fun begins. Before we sailed we were treated
to an afternoon smorgasbord with complimentary wine.
The meals are of high quality and of international
standard. You have the choice of open sitting for breakfast and lunch on
deck, or in the restaurant - we chose the former. At 4pm coffee and
cakes are offered, then a 7 course dinner at night followed by a midnight
buffet. Our only complaint is, that we ate too much and therefore have
put on extra weight. However, on our next MSC Cruise we shall diet
first and then eat without feeling guilty.
The entertainment is first class and professionally
produced. During the days at sea, one can swim, participate in all the
various activities such as aerobics, craft, t-shirt painting, etc, or just
take it easy with a book from the library.
The ports of call are carefully selected and well
worth the visit. As for the shore excursions, they are so
professionally organised by the multilingual crew.
Our overall impression is that these ships are very
efficiently run by professional people. Both officers and crew alike,
have one thing in mind ... to make your cruise as comfortable and enjoyable
as possible.
... we are now planning our 3rd cruise with MC and do
not hesitate to recommend these ships to anyone who wishes to have a
trouble-free time cruising and not spend a fortune doing so."
